Jillienne takes an eclectic approach to string pedagogy, desiring to equip her students with technical and artistic skills needed to play expressively both by reading music and by rote (playing by ear). She utilizes multiple well-known method books such as Strictly Strings and Adventures in Strings for beginners. Intermediate to advanced players develop scales, technique, solos, composition and improvisation.
